Great episode. Serious highlight so far. It’s such a shame I can’t really dive into this episode without getting into spoilers, but here we go. I think it’s fitting that, after a whole episode about death and grief in the form of Ep4, we get to finally see, for the most part, what has really been going on in Bly. Learning that Peter, Rebecca, and ultimately Hannah, are all dead was very chilling especially on rewatch when you realize this whole episode is Hannah “Dream hopping”, a term that will take on a more solidified meaning later. Now understanding why Hannah is so constantly socially disconnected from the space around her was also pretty morbid. Learning definitively that Miles’ stranger moments are because of Peter puppeteering his body and realizing that, during the “Story time” scene we saw a few episodes ago, part of that was actually Peter, was all very impactful. Just the thought that Peter, already antisocial figure he was, being a hateful, anguished spirit was quite frightening. This episode answers a lot of questions about some of the strange and bizarre situations we’ve seen thus far in the show very satisfyingly while also leaving some questions open. So far, this show is definitely deeply enriched by a rewatch.
