wow. chuck manages to yet again prove my negative attitude and judgement towards his character as correct. in this episode, he literally assaults/gets aggressive with blair, the woman he claims to love so much that he can’t imagine being without her??!?!?!? i don’t understand how there’s any redemption that can be given to this behaviour (or the numerous inexcusable actions he’s committed before this episode). i genuinely am horrified at how many people love the blair and chuck love story when so much of it comes at blair’s expense, is incredibly toxic and shows almost no substance apart from surface-level love? yes, blair is extremely selfish, rude and looks down upon a lot of people but she’s never once stooped so low— actually no one else on the show has. it’s baffling how people hate those who ship and love dair over chair. this isn’t even about that conversation either. it’s the fact that the main couple that fans and the show want to push is a prime example for what a destructive romantic relationship can look like.
