I finally came back to this show for the third time now and I’m so happy I did, and I think this time, it’s finally going to stick. An incredible first season of television, easily one of the best I’ve seen in recent memory, with what already looks to be one of the best casts in tv, and despite its length is easily one of the most enjoyable seasons on an episode to episode basis. Every single character introduction this season was spot on, and having two dedicated episodes per character/s was a really great way to reveal their backstories, in a way that definitely surprised me with its quality. A lot of the characters this season surpassed my expectations in the best ways possible, and I found myself becoming pretty emotional to some of the scenes and episodes which I really didn’t expect so early on in the series. It’d be kind of futile for me to talk about each and every character at this point in the show as not all that much has changed since the beginning of the season, but I definitely plan to once I finish the show, and given the direction some plot lines are going I have great faith in where this show and it’s cast are headed. The atmosphere and cinematography of the series is genuinely stunning and it makes sense, I’ll just never understand how they got such an insane budget for this show, particularly the pilot, and while I absolutely love the practical effects for the plane on the beach, I really pity the person who greenlit the 12 million dollar pilot budget for an unknown IP with a bunch of unknown actors. A fun and definitely confusing ride to say the least this season serves as an incredible introduction to what I imagine will become an incredible show. I kept watching for the mystery at first, but I’m fully enveloped in every plot line and characters of this series now, and can’t wait to continue.
