LOVED THIS. EVERYONE KICKS SO MUCH ASS. FAVOURITE. the setrakian and quinlan duo is probably my favourite of all the quinlan duos. i love how quietly resentful they are of each other precisely because they see so much of their shortcomings and single-minded vengeance within one another. it is such good stuff, and makes it so rewarding whenever they work together. the setrakian flashback in this episode was amazing. dreverhaven’s evil basement is one of the gnarliest things in this entire show. when he cut off his limbs i said “IS THAT A MOUTHWASHING REFERENCE???” because i’ve been watching a gameplay of it. either way he had it coming. also it only now fully sank in how goofy the silver bombs are. nothing hurts a strigoi quite like sparkles raining from the sky dutch and eph as a duo just get better and better the more scenes they get. i’m more invested that ever in the more scientific scenes precisely because it’s the two of them doing it. the return of the brainworms!!! i can’t believe microwaves make strigoi dumber. genuinely a huge fan of the scene transition of the dead strigoi on the floor after the failed experiment leading to the shot of the two of them drinking on the steps, all in one take. also you heard it here first, eph thinks fet is sexy. “he was speaking for dutch” i don’t care i am taking this and running with it. even dutch is like “that’ll improve your relationship if you said that to him”. dutch is eph/fet number 2 fan (after ME). fet is so so so cool. this guy loves crawling through tunnels and killing strigoi in the most badass way possible. he found the nest!!!!! good for him!!!!!!! i also love his outfits this season. king of wearing no colour also last but not least i love that justine got to keep her worm scar ok i’m done sorry i loved this episode
