man it feels great to be back in matt reeves the batman universe (or what he calls the "the batman epic crime saga" hence why it's in the tags) after all this time and it hasn't feel like we skipped a beat or sense of noir style since we last came here.
while it does lose some that greig fraser flair in his cinematography that makes it pop this is truly the closest they managed to replicate the style of the batman and it looks incredible still. overall the show itself is just so rewarding and fulfilling as we keep going into each episode and episode learning more about gothams underground criminal world. we see how each faction works and what they desire. an untrustworthy place that can lead you into either fulfillment or your death in just a blink of an eye. that's just how gotham works and how living there feels... it can turn someone into an absolute monster. maybe the only cb universe we need in the future is this one and nothing else because it's a night and day comparing this to the junk marvel is pumping out and even the other stuff dc puts out too.
