Uhh, yeah so... Why did we need a darkling backstory that puts a sympathetic light on him? Especially one that redeems a lot of his character, making it seem like his lust for power comes from a wish to uplift grisha instead of an all-consuming desperation?
Alina's convo should have been sharper to further drive the point in that he's a self pitying abuser (btw im not even a huge darkling hater, even though hes often terribly written in the books his isolation and loneliness are extremely interesting in the context of this world building but he utilises everyone to his benefit. buhu you, you've done this to yourself). The show is creating more darkling stans for sure. And changing the circumstances around the stag hunt did the show no favour either.
Whatever, Genyas scene has been well executed, others will hopefully be treated with the same complexity of interests, and all Crow moments are perfect in this episode<3 thank you to whoever advocated for jesper ans inejs friendship content
*amazing choice to change the amplifier placement!
