This show starts off really great, this first half with just the kid versions of our characters and everything leading up to the mid-season is great, and I'm in love with all that is set up. However the show wanting to include the murder mystery and crime element is its downfall and its so evident in the back half. Everything we need is set up perfectly and Sicaru and Erik's relationship should be at the forefront, and when it is its great. However, the child trafficking story is an element that adds too much in a story that doesn't need it besides adding unnecessary drama.
