What a fucking show, man. This is by far one of, if not the, best comic book tv shows out there. How the hell did they manage to create one of the most hateful characters and made me absolutely love that character? THIS is how you do a proper villain story, without making him sympathetic, or an anti-hero, or making the audience follow his beliefs. We don't need to sympathize with him, we just need to understand him as a character, the way he is, and how his motivations all stem from the need to be loved and appreciated. Not to mention how the antagonist of this show is the more morally right one, Sofia Falcone, what a brilliant performance by Christin Milioti by the way, absolutely phenomenal character that also had me rooting for. For a story to make me question whether I want the protagonist to win or the antagonist, that is a truly special story. I initially did not expect to like this show, as I'm usually not a fan of gangster stories like The Godfather or Goodfellas, but this show really surprised me with how engaged I was from the first episode, and had me looking forward to every episode that followed, making me give ratings not less than 4.5, to each episode. That just goes to show how well-put together Matt Reeves and Lauren LeFranc are, and how masterful their execution was. My praise also goes to Rhenzy Feliz, who prior to this I only saw in Marvel's Runaways and thought he was kinda boring, but here he is bringing his A-game, and not to mention how well written his arc in this show was, going down the wrong path in life due to the conditions of his family and neighborhood. That pretty much concludes all I have to say about this show, and most of it I pulled outta my ass cuz this show truly left me speechless in the best way possible. My rating: 9.7/10
