Oh how I love these episodes where we get to catch up with characters that we haven’t seen for awhile. In this case, we catch up with the Solares. Elisa dating Marcello was completely unexpected for me, and it saddens me that Elena’s parents seem to accept this development. The dinner scene was easily the highlight of the episode. It just felt so uncanny to me, and I felt as though I was Elena watching the scene unfold. Her family and friends laughing and dining with the Solares, people they’ve detested for their entire lives. It was fascinating to watch the scene unfold, especially Lila, as she’s always despised the people who she’s dining with. I applaud Giglioa as she’s the only one who is genuine in the situation. I’ve said it before, but Michele is such an interesting character. The casting for him too was just perfect, he brings such a terrifying presence to the scene added so much to this episode, and the whole show in general. I loved hearing Pietros opinion on the Solares and everyone. One of this shows strongest attributes is its character writing, everyone feels so real. Like you could meet them on the street. Pietro as a character feels so real, it’s like I’ve met him before. I loved the way Elena shut down his opinion of Lila, although he may be on to something. Recently Lila seems so dismissive of Elena. Anyways, this episode is another very high 4.5 star. I think the downside to this show being so consistent is that this episode would blow me away if it came from nearly any other show, but this is just what I come to expect from this show at this point 😭
