The reveal of what’s been going on with Pascal’s personal life conjures some…interesting feelings on Laguerta’s character, most of them negative lmao. On the other hand, seeing Deb try and form a functional relationship was definitely interesting. I always forget how weirdly chill her bf during this segment of the show is lol. I already remember Rita’s mother being an insufferably annoying bitch. Speaking of bitches, I enjoy seeing the continuation of Dexter and Lila’s relationship. It’s such an intriguing relationship because Lila is so clearly bad news, but she’s also the first person up to this point Dexter’s ever met that truly accepts him for who he is and he feels legitimately comfortable and safe around. Every time I watch this season, I’m reminded by how despite knowing how much of a black widow she is, how weirdly heartwarming and wholesome it is to see Dexter, kinda sorta, genuinely happy and comfortable around someone. Seeing as this is the episode where he first truly learns about the kind of person she is, I can’t wait to relive the continuation of their relationship given that connection of theirs.
