decent first season. obviously the highlight of this season was the two episodes which focused on red john. those two episodes really showcased how amazing this show can be after having some sleeper filler episodes. it’s evident that the majority of the budget goes into those red john episodes because they’re such a step up from the average episode. the rest of the episodes were episodic but still pretty enjoyable. i like when the show steers away from the cookie cutter plot lines and does something original like jane being blind which was fun. 

the cast of this show is already really enjoyable and engaging. jane is such a fun protag and his motives are so well done. lisbon is also a character who has great potential. the dynamics were done very well this season, red john and pj, pj and lisbon, rigsby and van pelt were my favs.

def not one of the best first seasons ive seen, but it’s enough to keep me engaged.
