On rewatch, I’m kinda bouncing back and forth between whether or not I think Rudy should’ve been revealed a little later because knowing who he really is, to a certain extent, takes a bit out of the tension of the second half, but only to a certain extent. Otherwise, lightening fast episode. Learning the true birth place of Dexter’s “Dark Passenger” (I’d forgotten this episode is where that term is coined lol) and how it impacts who he is today was so amazing and leaves the door wide open for so much further character exploration of Dexter’s origins and what makes him who he is as well as who he has the potential to be. Seeing Harry’s reputation be seriously brought into question (To say the fuckin least) was so insanely tantalizing because of the potential it introduces. The ending wasn’t quite as shocking and heart pounding as I feel it could’ve been because of the already present existence of the reveal, but I’m still hype af for the season finale. Yeah, S1’s definitely gonna end up being my favorite season of the show easy.
