Great episode. Not quite as good as I’d remembered it being, but still great. Deb was really frustrating, but I could understand why she was so angry with Dexter even if she lacked justifiable reasons. Learning about Dexter’s father was incredibly interesting and honestly says a lot about Dexter’s past even if we don’t yet know exactly what made him who he is. Seeing Harry’s name being brought into question after seeing his code and teachings be the backbone of Dexter’s ability to function thus far was really interesting. This season really has a way of building suspense and intrigue episode to episode that, honestly, I don’t feel like any other season manages to induce. Also, seeing Rudy’s first time interactions with Dexter was incredibly thought provoking, especially with (No spoilers ofc) the knowledge of later events. Paul is insufferable, but knowing what happens next episode as well as what his existence adds to Dexter and Rita’s characters makes it worth it.
