I knew you was ass but my word you stink ๐ญ
There's just about nothing to compliment here. Every single thought and feeling is spoken to you as if you're a four year old that can't comprehend it, yet the overarching story or characters have as much development as the very same four year old's English homework. The animation looks a bit shit, and they're just throwing spiral-based ideas at you in the hopes of scaring you instead of really putting in any of the legwork it takes to be scary. If there was an actual rise in stakes instead of just saying every 5 minutes that the town is powerless, then maybe I'd care. You need to build up how the spirals are threatening the town and make the cases a little less self contained instead of giving character ten minute arcs that end with them fly swatted and the specific horror that opposed them gone with them.
The one and only thing I'd compliment about this episode was the music. I was waiting for Colin Stetson to show us what he's capable of because the last episode didn't feel like it had much of his touch, but here I could feel it more. It almost made any of the horror scary which is a pretty huge achievement in this show.
