Breaking Bad is, without a doubt, one of the best shows I’ve ever watched. It’s rare to come across a show that pulls you in so completely from the first episode and keeps getting better with each season. Honestly, I get why people call it one of the greatest TV shows of all time. For me, it’s my second favorite show so far, but it's a very close second.

The writing in Breaking Bad is honestly on another level. The way they build tension is insane. There are so many moments where I was literally on the edge of my seat, not sure what was going to happen next. I love how the show ties everything together. Even the smallest details or moments that seemed insignificant earlier in the series end up having huge payoffs later. The pacing is very good, nothing ever feels rushed, and the stakes keep getting higher with every episode. Every time you think things can’t get worse, they do. The show keeps raising the bar.

Visually, the show is stunning. Some of the shots are so iconic, and the way they use camera angles and lighting to build tension is something I didn’t expect to notice so much, but it really adds to the experience. The desert scenes, the close-ups during intense moments, the time-lapses it all gives the show such a unique look and feel. 

And of course, the ending. Breaking Bad is one of the few shows that completely nails its ending. “Felina” ties everything together in such a satisfying way. Walt’s final showdown with Jack and the neo-Nazis, the way he sets Jesse free, and his own death. Everything about it just felt right for the story. It was bittersweet but perfect, and I don’t think they could have ended it any better. 

Overall, Breaking Bad is an incredible show that lives up to all the hype. It instantly became my second favorite show ever. The characters, the storytelling, the tension, it’s all just so well done. I know it’s one of those shows I’ll think about for a long time, and I can definitely see myself rewatching it in the future just to catch all the details I missed the first time around. It’s truly a masterpiece.

                                   𝟭: 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗘

Walter’s transformation into Heisenberg is one of the most fascinating things I’ve ever seen. At first, I really felt for him. He’s just a guy trying to take care of his family. But as his ego grows, it’s hard to ignore how much he’s enjoying the power. It’s both terrifying and impressive to watch how far he’ll go to protect his empire. I love how complex he is. Brilliant, ruthless, and tragic all at once. He’s one of the best protagonists ever, someone you can’t help but be amazed by, even when he’s making terrible choices.

Jesse Pinkman is the character I connected with the most in Breaking Bad. I love how he’s always stuck between doing the right thing and staying loyal to Mr. White. That inner struggle makes him feel real and relatable. Every time things went wrong for him, I just wanted him to catch a break and be happy for once. His journey toward redemption is what kept me hooked on his story. He’s flawed, makes mistakes, but he’s so human. I found myself always rooting for him, hoping he’d finally find peace.

                                       𝟯: 𝗚𝗨𝗦 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚

Gus is one of my favorite antagonists ever. On the surface, he’s polite and calm, but underneath, he’s a mastermind who controls everything with precision. I love how calculated and strategic he is, he’s always steps ahead, and you can’t help but admire how smart he is, even though he’s terrifying. The way he balances his public image with running his empire is genius, and every scene with him had me on edge.

                                   𝟰: 𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥

Hank’s character really grew on me throughout the series. He’s one of the most entertaining and complex characters. He can crack jokes even in serious situations. At first, he seemed like a tough, loud DEA agent, but as his character developed, I came to really respect him. He’s determined to catch Heisenberg, and even when things get tough, he never gives up. I love how much heart he has, especially when it comes to his family. He’s strong but also has a softer, more fragile side, and that mix made him one of the most interesting characters for me.

                                𝟱: 𝗠𝗜𝗞𝗘 𝗘𝗛𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗨𝗧 

Mike is the definition of cool and collected. He’s always calm and in control, handling any situation with skill and intelligence. He doesn’t need to say much to command respect, and his loyalty and quiet wisdom make him one of my favorites. Mike’s always thinking two steps ahead, and there’s something about his character that makes you admire him every time he’s on screen.

Season 5 is like the ultimate payoff to everything the show has built up. Walt is completely unrecognizable from the man we met in Season 1. He’s Heisenberg now, and he’s terrifying. Watching him go from this desperate guy in Season 1 to someone willing to do whatever it takes... it’s wild. This season felt like watching a disaster happen in slow motion, where you know things are going to end badly, but you can’t look away. Hank finding out about Walt was such a huge moment, and from there, it’s just chaos. Ozymandias is arguably the best TV episode ever, it was heartbreaking but so well done. The way everything ends is satisfying but also kind of sad. Walt got what he deserved, but I still felt bad for how things ended with Jesse. Season 5 is intense but such a great way to end the show.

Season 4 was super intense from start to finish. It felt like a game of cat and mouse between Walt and Gus, and the tension just kept building and building. I don’t think I’ve ever been so stressed watching a show. Gus is terrifying because he’s always one step ahead, and it makes you wonder how Walt’s going to survive. But that final showdown? Insane. Walt’s “I won” moment was a turning point where I realized there’s no going back for him. Jesse also had such a rough season with all the guilt over killing Gale. This season kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

                                       𝟯: 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝟮

This season felt a little more chaotic and messy, but in a good way. Jesse’s story really hit me this season, especially with his relationship with Jane. I actually liked Jane and thought she was good for him, but seeing how it ended was heartbreaking. And then the whole thing with the pink teddy bear and the plane crash? I did not see that coming. It’s one of those seasons where it feels like a lot of random things happen, but by the end, it all connects in a way that surprised me. This season showed me that Breaking Bad wasn’t going to be predictable. Even when some of the subplots seemed random at first (like the plane crash), it all comes together.

Season 3 is where things really started getting intense. The introduction of characters like Gus Fring and the Salamanca cousins really raised the stakes. Gus is one of the most terrifying villains I’ve ever seen, not because he’s outwardly violent, but because of how controlled and calculated he is. The tension in this season is insane, the episodes with the cousins alone had me on edge the whole time. But it’s also the season where Jesse’s journey really hits hard. His guilt, his self-destructive tendencies, it all just makes his character even more tragic. Walt and Jesse’s relationship starts to show real cracks here, which is both painful and inevitable.

This is where it all started, and honestly, I loved it from the beginning. The way it shows Walt's life just falling apart and him deciding to cook meth is so crazy but kinda makes sense for him. I could already tell something was about to snap in him, even when he’s trying to keep everything together for his family. Jesse, on the other hand, adds this chaotic energy that complements Walt’s methodical personality. This season is a bit slower paced than the others, but I liked that it took its time to build everything up. It’s short but really good at pulling you into their world.
