WHO SAID NOBODY WANTS THIS?! I WANT THIS, GIVE ME SEASON TWO NETFLIX Lightning was captured in this bottle of a show. The immaculate chemistry between Adam Hot Rabbi Brody and Kristen Bell carries this Rom-Com show. Sometimes I feel like Romantic Comedy movies, within the time constraint, cannot develop the relationship organically. In the television format for this show, the romance grows naturally and each episode is perfectly paced to show the beginning stages of their relationship. Nobody Wants This is an incredible addition to the “dating outside of your community” trope, exploring Jewish identity in the context of romance. Its tone is not preachy but it allows the audience to be understanding of communities and their hesitation to date outside themselves. I’ve mentioned Brody and Bell, but Timothy Simons and Justine Lupe are fantastic supporting characters. Their dynamic is just as palpable in tensions as the main leads. I’ve been waiting for a good romantic comedy, and mean it in every sense of the term, and I’ve found it.
