this shit was so peak i loved everything about it. the only reason people have been shitting on it is because they cant get their heads out of their ass and they hate black people and women. i loved this shows commitment to being in the 30s its something we almost never see anymore and the 2 """woke""" changes (the gordons being black and penguin being a woman) are literally non-issues and honestly, at least for the gordons, add so much more complexity to their characters and their relationship with the law and the system. fem penguin also slapped and a female mob boss isn't something we usually see which was a nice change of pace. anyway i also absolutely loved having all the robins meet before becoming robins and im very happy with the inclusion of the forgotton robin of the dark knight returns, carrie. she's so slept on and i think this is the only(?) piece of batman media that's treated her as canon since the dkr series came out and had her be in the same time period/age range as the other robins
