Doing evil to beat a bigger evil.
How far does one go until it’s still justified, how many more lines need to be crossed? When does the moral compass start to become skewed?
The lengths that Elliot had to go with to breakdown Olivia was tough to watch, both for Olivia’s and Elliot’s perspective. But these are the lengths you need to go through to bring down an evil as big and practically untouchable as The Dark Army (especially when the clock is ticking as rapidly as it is at the moment).
Elliot still tries to attend to all of his stray bullets, and makes sure that nothing will trace back to Olivia, meaning the Elliot we know is still there.
But with the clock ticking, both his and his sister’s back against the wall; will his current situation fully engulf him to become the pure evil needed to stop another? Will all his efforts go in vain? And will it all even be worth it in the end if he loses what little he has left of himself, plus everything and everyone else along the way?
Also, Vera. My word, when he first showed up in season one I thought he’d just be a side plot that Elliot would overcome. But wow, seeing his unhinged self back on our screens was so menacing. His lingering presence just adds that extra sprinkle to what is already a dire situation for Elliot. I’m so excited to see how this show will finally come to a close.
I trust that it’ll be a great ending though
