gotta be honest … this was kinda overhyped (at least this season)

very clearly not the intention of the writers but it is odd how SA of men isn’t taken seriously at all and is always glossed over (same thing just happened with the latest season of the boys). the entire season is dependant on you rooting for this couple but it’s hard to root for daphne and her relationship with simon after that. I also just like don’t believe he actually likes her … he always says it but I’m just not seeing it or feeling it

overall though this show .. sucked ass. the romance at the centre of this romance show doesn’t work. the pop music violin covers are distracting. the characters are mostly either one note or uninteresting. it’s full of cliches and tropes but they don’t do anything interesting with them. and worst of all: I was bored. 

I’ll give s2 a chance since everyone says it’s the best season and I gotta be all caught up for the gay francesca season when that happens eventually there’s no way I won’t watch a lesbian bridgerton season but if it weren’t for that I wouldn’t have gotten past s1.
