Extremely inconsistent. This show varies in quality drastically episode-by-episode. For instance, the opening two episodes and the Joker episodes are really good but the vast majority of the other episodes felt torturous to endure. I’m not sure what happened but this Season from a directional and writing standpoint is explicitly worse than Seasons 1 and 2. I’d argue the voice acting performances were worse as well since Harley Quinn and some of the other characters became rapidly annoying. The animation is still fine as a positive. I just feel suspicious about whether complacency has affected this season as a lot of the Harley-Ivy stuff was lazy and repetitive. The dramatic moments were either awful or cringe and they seemed to have veered away from their focal strength which was the humour and satire. Some of my favourite characters like King Shark and Clayface aren’t as strong in this season either. Plus, you really feel the absence of Kite Man. All in all, I think this season will be decided upon how much you can tolerate the show’s low points as it does have a few rare moments of highs. Personally, I don’t see myself returning for Season 4 unless it gets a positive reception.
