Mad Men Is it normal that i’ve just watched this show and i already want to rewatch it? I would watch like 20 seasons of this and i will never be bored. When I heard about this show, I thought that i wouldn’t like it. I just couldn't understand how a show about advertising could be interesting. But I decided to give it a chance and it turned out to be the best show I've ever seen. This show perfectly conveys the atmosphere of 1960s New York. This series doesn't have bad episodes, some of them are slow paced, but that's not a problem because it's perfect for this show. I don't know how to explain it but this show feels so real. And another price of this is the actors who perfectly played their characters and their role. Maybe I don't remember something, but it seems to me that there wasn't a single actor who played his role poorly in this series. I like shows that don't have a specific goal, but in which they just show life and bring it to the end a little bit, like «The Sopranos», for example. Also, I want to say about the endings of every episode in this series, EVERY episode ending in this show was perfect and most of them were depressing and perfectly punctuated by music. The locations in this show are amazing, they look so unique and beautiful and also they attract any person, I don't believe that anyone can dislike the locations in this show. The cinematography in this series was incredible because this show feels like you are living every day with these characters in 60s New York. I can say a lot more good things about this show but it will be very long. If any of you haven't seen this show, drop everything and go watch it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🛑Spoilers🛑 Top 10 characters Don Draper / Dick Whitman I don’t even know where to start, but this is the best character of all time. Jon Hamm's performance is one of the best I've ever seen, he portrayed his character perfectly. Don Draper seems to be a happy man with a big family, but in reality there is much more hidden behind all this, he is a man who is broken by his past, this is simply the best backstory in all of TV. One of the most complex characters that I have ever seen and his development during the series is simply unbelievable. His conclusion is my top 1-2 conclusion of all time. He stopped running away from his problems and now he can only face them. Best Episode: Person to Person(7x14) Best Season: Season 7 Roger Sterling Roger Sterling is the funniest and most enjoyable character on this show. When he took LSD it was the most important thing he ever did because it changed his perspective on life. His conclusion was great, he finally found a person who matches his freak. Best Episode: Far Away Places(5x6) Best Season: Season 5 Peggy Olson Peggy improved a lot throughout the show and reached great heights. At the beginning, she was a simple secretary, but towards the end of the series, she became the head of the creative team. And this is very impressive because in the 60s, women were not respected as much as men, but she fully deserved her job. Peggy wanted to be taken seriously and Don understood that and they developed a perfect dynamic. And it makes me very happy that Peggy in her conclusion finally found a loved one that she couldn't find for the whole show. Stan is underrated, great character. Best Episode: The Suitcase(4x7) Best Season: Season 4 / Season 7 Pete Campbell I hated Pete in the first two seasons, so his development as a character is just amazing, he is now my top 4 character on this show. His conclusion at the end where he came back to Trudy and realized the mistakes he made during the series was really great. Best Episode: Signal 30(5x5) / Person to Person(7x14) Best Season: Season 7 / Season 6 Sally Draper To see such an incredibly written kid character on TV is very unique. And Sally is such a case. She always wanted to be treated like an adult and that's what she deserves. Sally is so young, but she is very mature and understands everything, maybe even better than adults. Best Episode: The Milk and Honey Route(7x13) Best Season: Season 6 / Season 7 Betty Draper Such an amazing character, she deserves much better😢 In seasons 1-3 I liked her very much, but then after the divorce with Don in seasons 4-5, she started to be shown much less and it's sad. But Henry is a much better fit for her than Don and I'm glad for that. Her conclusion was so emotional and heartbreaking and for me top 3 conclusion on this show. Best Episode: The Milk and Honey Route(7x13) Best Season: Season 2 / Season 7 Lane Pryce The most tragic character in the whole show. When he attempted to kill himself in the Jaguar his wife gave him, he failed and was given a second chance, but he didn't take it and killed himself in his office😢 Best Episode: Commissions and Fees(5x12) Best Season: Season 5 Joan Holloway John is a very good person, everyone looks up to her and all women are inspired by her. Seeing how she is sexualized by other men and how they make jokes about her is very sad. The relationship between Roger and Joan was very sweet. And I'm glad she finally got a happy ending. Best Episode: The Other Woman(5x11) Best Season: Season 5 Bert Cooper Bert is a person who is respected by absolutely everyone and is the perfect example of a leader-boss.
