excellent prequel television that doesn't depend on it's predecessor and acts as a complete character study, you can't help but root for this imperfect lawyer.
it uses the most absurd subplot (an allergy to electricity) to build the arc of all these beautifully written characters for the first few seasons, it's astounding.
characters like kim wexler, chuck mcgill, lalo salamanca, that are an integral part of the series but not in the walter white storyline would constantly make you wonder how their arcs would end and align with the show.. but they don't rush it at all and give each of them a justified complexion and individuality
the flaw-centric exploration of arcs through the show makes you invested despite knowing that the inevitable end of jimmy mcgill is to come.
vince gilligan and peter gould deserve all the praise for making this fine piece of television
edit : original log was just three words 'fuck squid game' because of the emmys snub, but it being the showcased review didn't feel right, so I decided to write an actual one.
