Finally continuing my Sopranos rewatch and making this review just makes me want to watch it more. 

While the first 4 episodes of the season started off slow and dealt with the repercussions from last season, the rest was just amazing. Episode 5 and onward has some of the best episodes this show has to offer thus far.

I love the attention to side/new characters this season such as; Pussy, Richie, Matthew and quite a few more. Obviously Pussy’s arc with him becoming an informant for the FBI and how he slowly goes deeper into that rabbit hole. His conclusion was just so fucking sad, one of Tony’s best and most trusted friends, who he ultimately had to kill. Another great addition to the show was Richie, just an old school mob psycho. He really pushed this season forward with his rebellion towards Tony slowly building up and paying off was great.

The final episode of the season, ‘Funhouse’ was easily the best of the show to this point and pushed the show into a new realm. It shows how well written Tony is and his amazing internal conflicts. Just an absolute banger of an episode.

I don’t even know how to rank this season compared to S1 because they’re both so good. I do love season 1’s vibe being quite comedic but this season is when the show turns dark in my opinion. Cant wait to rewatch this shit.
