Jake Gyllenhaal is great in his closing statement. Ruth Negga acted the heck out of the final scenes. But it is PETER SARSGAARD who stole the show for me. Excellent portrayal of a "villain" prosecutor who is just a lonely guy with a cat. The verdict was a bit of an easy cop-out given how good the arguments are, but sure. That final plot twist was shocking and deeply unsettling to me.
