What If Season 2 is just as uneven as Season 1 was. The highs are high, but the lows are low. The flaws here are basically the same as the ones in Season 1. With the exception of episode 2, the first half is extremely mediocre. Episodes 1, 3, and 4 are particularly bad. It felt like Marvel hired a 10-year-old to write them. They're rushed, boring, and overstuffed with terrible jokes. I also wasn't a fan of how ridiculously overpowered some characters seemed to be. It's like what happened with G'iah in Secret Invasion. Many times during the show, especially during the finale, I felt like the writers stopped following any kind of rules when it came to the power usage. After a really poor first half, the show becomes infinitely better. Episode 6 was the highlight of the season. I loved Kahhori. She was super likable and her powers were gorgeous to look at. Devery Jacobs did a fabulous job voicing the character. I need to see Kahhori in live-action ASAP! Hela's episode was great as well. I loved that she got paired up with the Shang-Chi characters and I was also very happy that Cate Blanchett returned to voice her. I hope we get to see her in live-action again. Episode 5 was really good. I loved seeing Natasha and Peggy team up. Lake Bell and Hayley Atwell did an excellent job with the voice work. I was disappointed that Wanda's role was so small, but she's an icon and she devoured her two minutes of screen time. Ultimately, while I really liked some parts of Season 2, others didn't work for me at all. The show continues to be incredibly inconsistent and that takes away from the enjoyment.
