I’M SO EXCITED BUT ALSO SO DISTRESSED BECAUSE WHAT DO YOU MEAN I HAVE TO WAIT TWO FUCKING YEARS TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT??? season 4 was great, some of ya’ll are just haters 💀

in complete truth, i do have some qualms with this season… it’s true that, at times, it was very obvious that these episodes all served for build-up towards season 5 and I think some characters weren’t fully explored the way they could’ve been. i still don’t really understand what sage’s true motive is and why she continues to guide homelander… shouldn’t she know how unstable he is? or is that exactly it and she’s using him to her advantage? and if so, advantage to gain what? although, i’m sure most of these questions will be answered in the last season.

in the same note, i’m SO UPSET with what they did to victoria. easily one of the most interesting characters of the series - and one of the most powerful supes too - being killed off without even being able to fight back. i was actually really excited to see her working with the boys for once and them eliminating vought together 💀 anyways, rip to my wife… gone too soon!!!!!

kimiko and frenchie is also another example of storytelling being a little clumsy. don’t get me wrong, I LOVE THEM - be it romantic or not! i just feel like it’s almost painfully obvious that the writers didn’t want to go the romantic route at first then caved in to fan service… leaving it all to unravel sort of sloppily. with season 3 and kimiko literally calling frenchie a brother/family multiple times… to then randomly switching up and confessing to liking him romantically? I get being confused between romantic/platonic feelings and it’s a very realistic concept… but it just doesn’t feel like that’s the vibe of what was written. anyways, i’ll eat up the fan service because, despite the switch up being a little sudden, they’re undeniably super cute and i shipped them all the way until season 3 lol 🇫🇷😘 

BUTCHER SCORCHED EARTH IS GONNA EATTTT LOWKEY i keep flip-flopping on getting mad at that man and understanding him thoroughly…… but maybe that’s the point!!!! 

also, homelander is insane and he needs to get his ass beat DESPERATELY like omfg 

all in all, this was a very solid second to last season and DID deliver in the way the boys usually does. a-train’s arc for example is, in my opinion, one of the best we’ve seen yet and i also rlly liked butcher’s tug between morality and revenge. hughie’s dad’s death was also super emotional and well-done!! the boys is absolutely not getting “too woke”… viewers who are complaining about that just took four seasons to realize the show is literally making fun of people like them, hope this helps! 🤩

lastly, someone give hughie a hug… that man has SUFFERED AND DESERVES JUSTICE!!!!!!!!
