The second half of this season is truly incredible. The last two episodes are the most heartbreaking reality TV I’ve ever seen but also perfectly exemplifies the internal struggle between strategy vs. ethics and friendship vs. Gameplay that exist in these social competitive TV shows. Jason is possibly the most gracious and genuine person to ever exist and Danielle is someone who I will forever love and respect for not only playing a fantastic game, but also for being such an entertaining and kind human being.
Seeing her internal struggle as she gets further and further into the game knowing what she must do but not knowing if she can muster up the courage to do it was so riveting to watch. She was cursed with the gift of foresight and manipulation in a game built on betrayal. Whenever this curse led her to pull off another ingenious move, it brought her fleeting euphoria showcased in her personality-oozing DRs. However that happiness is nowhere to be found during the live evictions where she comes to terms with just how much pain her gift causes. But what can she do? She needs this for her family and can see the treacherous steps she needs to follow to win. That’s why would do it all over again the exact same way.
