1. 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
I started the second season with high hopes and they really came true. This season is MUCH better than the first one in literally everything.
2. 𝗗𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡
Firstly, there were much fewer episodes that were unimportant for the plot. Both the first and second half were pretty consistent. The first was excellent due to revealing Mob, Reigen, their dynamic and antagonist, and the second due to excellent fights.
Secondly, as I said, the season has paid more attention to the main characters. I saw the potential in developing their relationship when I first started and the second season did a great job. Although it always seemed that Mob could not live without Reigen, in the end it turned out that everything was the opposite and this arc showed the life of the second one alone and how he coped with it, which eventually led to the fact that he realized how important Mob was to him.
In addition, Mob's development catches the eye. Between what an antisocial boy he was then and who he is now, there is a difference between heaven and earth. We were shown how close people influence him, namely, after living for six months in a created world without close people in which his classmates bullied him, he was almost ready to kill them, but remembering his past life and the people who were so important to him, he was able to find himself and forgive his abusers.
By the way, the antagonist from this arc is a great character. Keiji is a psychic who looked like a Mob at the moment of his life, but the feelings of being used accumulated evil energy in him, which eventually played a bad joke on him. As a result, he became an evil spirit with a completely weakened faith in humanity and the goal of punishing and taking revenge on those who used others thinking that it would not affect them in any way. But in the end, Mob was able to help him understand that he was wrong in his faith in humanity, which is why Mogami was eventually able to find peace and rest (I think so).
The second half had much less focus on the characters, but nevertheless Mob is still good there. The antagonist of the arc, although the most significant at the moment, wouldn't say he's well written, he's pretty formulaic. I like his dynamic with Mob though. Of the good sides is a great action accompanied by beautiful animations. The last episode was a great pay off for the season.
3. 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡
One of the best S2's on TV. I would say T10. Huge step up from the first season in quality. If the third season is at this level then this show will hit pretty high on the list of my favorite shows.
