I’ve since read the manga in the gap between my last review for this series and this season’s release schedule , anime-onlys have no idea how much they should treasure this training season before the traumatising film trilogy , my minor gripes with this arc is that they didn’t add much new content for Mitsuri’s training (I am fine with lack of Shinobu due to the reveal of her role in the Infinity Castle arc) , but other than that , Ufotable didn’t pull back with efforts at all ! please appreciate all the “unnecessary” fillers that they added , I am grateful that they properly wrapped up Tengan’s story with extending 1.5 page into an entire episode , whilst also having Muchiro play paper airplanes with Tanjiro and the other members , literally cried there , I too wish these children could live a long life and continue to have peace in their lives… also the Tanjiro effect is full-on unstoppable , Giyu and Gyomei moving on with past traumas due to the presence of him would never not be emotional , despite being slightly generic it’s undeniable that Tanjiro has grown to be a great protagonist And the finale alone deserves a paragraph, one of my favourite panels in the manga is Kagaya’s savage but emotional speech to Muzan about true eternity , not only I got that , but also they extended the explosion and the Infinity Castle entrance in a perfectly devastating and also hyped way , I don’t think people are truly ready for an antagonist like Muzan , would be there day one for each of the films , even though KnY is very flawed as a project , it’s undeniable that the story and the character meant a lot to me and helped me to hold my chest high , like , I would be cosplaying as Mitsuri in this month’s anime con , proud of myself 💕
