The story has to slow down a bit. Even though the fight scenes are nice, seeing them one after another kinda makes it lose its appeal. Instead of big events happening back-to-back, there could have been scenes that does not add anything to the story but helps the audience to understand and love the world and characters more. And this does happen till Kafka rolls into Defence Force (especially with the very first scene) but after that it kinda gets faster. I know there are scenes where the group members got together but I felt nothing towards them cause instead of seeing them individually, we see them in a group, which does not help us to know them better. Apart from Kikoru and Hoshina though. Because I think their goals and beliefs are explained very well in the moments given to them individually. Also I know the story, with or without realizing, imply something between Kikoru and Kafka but I hope it's something more like a brother/sister dynamic because I cannot handle them being romanticized. And finally, I think people should have died and we should have witness it because nothing feels tragic as they make it sound right now. All of these are the problems of the manga of course, since this series is an adaptation for it. The problems that belongs to series is probably faces of the characters. The animation is good overall (especially the fight scenes are fire) but when it comes to their faces, something feels off (probably because of the eyes). Apart from all of these, it's a very good show. It draws you in. Especially, the best things are probably OSTs and dubbing. OSTs are fire. And shout out to the english voice actors! They are very good.
