For some reason that I still can't define, the end of the first season of Outer Range seemed quite conclusive to me. Obviously there were some hooks from which to continue this second season, but perhaps with that I already had a couple of doubts in mind regarding the continuation of this story.
Anyway, let's highlight the best of these new 7 episodes. I think Joy's timeline is a great success. Seen from an inexperienced prism, it's made with great attention to detail, with great respect for culture and with a television eye that continues to be entertaining for the general audience. Perhaps this point is the best in this second season, despite certain unanswered questions towards the end. Perry's line is also surprising on its own, rather than its outcome.
In contrast, what does not convince me in this installment is that all the stories don't end up cohering correctly. They work well on their own, but when it comes to putting them all together, there is no attractive force that is comfortable to see. Another doubtful point is that the series wants to impose new mysteries, but they seem to be too random, without motives or reasons.
To sum up, this second season is weaker than the first, but the mysticism and essence of the series is maintained, having its own identity that is highly appreciated and valued.
Recommended for lovers of mystery and westerns.
