Conflicting, interesting, what the fuck happened season. It feels really pathetic to keep saying the concepts are pretty good here, because they are, but I can’t exactly keep using that excuse for every poor mistake that’s made. Take episode 6 for example, has some incredibly fun action that rivals prime Game Of Thrones, visually, from an entertainment standpoint, etc. But the decisions they make and the way the writers have gotten to that point, attempt to wrap it up and stuff, it just doesn’t work. Like everyone knows the issues in episode 6, despite being quite fun, they are not ignorable. This season puts me in a bad mood though like cut half of the content out, I’d probably like this season more (aside from the context being wack), it just feels like they rushed a lot of the genuine work that was needed, rather than giving time to build on the main stuff they had left. All things considered, most episodes had like 3 plots at most going on, majority tended to link together as well, so when I’m getting like 20 overall minutes of Arya and Sansa squabbling for no reason, it completely derails your mood and throws you out of engagement. Like I’ve said though, visually, sublime, but writing wise, mess. Can’t wait for the best season of the show next.
