You can tell how much Gerry Dunn loves his son by the spectrum of actions he showed in the limited screentime we got throughout the series, he was NOT playing with Martha when she f*cked around and he surely accepted Donny INSTANTLY no matter what happened and I think he's just precious. Keeley's also a solid, her mum raised her right. What's not is how Donny came back to Darren's, his whole chit-chat fully made me uneasy. But after breaking down and admitting how he's addicted to self-loathing, it tracks. 

For the final frame, I hope people don't misinterpret it as Donny starting a cycle, but rather as a closure for him about the madness he received from Martha. He's been obsessing about what exactly is behind the outrageous acts Martha committed around him to make sense of the snowball of sh*t happening to him in the past couple of years (on top of the general confusion over body control he suffered due to the continuous sexual assault from Darren), mainly probably because he thought it was on him as well. The bartender proved him wrong. An act of kindness is an act of kindness, not an invitation to invade someone's personal life.
