Wow, just like that…

 I get the hype but on the other hand I don’t because of one crucial flaw. This episode starts off bangin’ with nail-biting tension and conflict. You’re expecting the death to happen almost immediately since the fire has spread so far already. Yet, he manages to save everyone including the dog. He was Superman in that moment. The show does an extremely good job at making you love this guy. But, I was a little caught off guard that he made it out because it was made clear in the season opener that he died that day. So, I continued and then it hits you like a sledgehammer. The acting was superb and the emotions are all felt. I just think they screwed with the addition of the season opener foreshadowing. It’s made evidently clear that he died on that night because she’s wearing the same jersey in that flashback. So, once he truly passes it the shock is spoiled because it was practically explained to the audience episodes beforehand. It would’ve been more of a twist and an experience if we didn’t know anything about the death and when it was going to occur. That being said it was an amazing hour of television.
