i loved every second of this show and love each of the girls with every cell in my body! as compared to the original pretty little liars, it’s obviously much darker, more violent & much more focused on personal trauma rather than the collective “a” situation. still, their personal issues connect with the greater story, and that’s something i seriously loved about it. the slasher inspiration was really well-done, and there were some great plot twists, connections & character relationships amidst all of the drama. i loved that it was dark for a reason, and not just scary for the hell of it — it was necessary to drive the much more mature plot than PLL. the main girls were so well written and well acted, and each of them had such distinct personalities that made the story so much more engaging. my official ranking as of the last episode goes faran > imogen > noa > tabby > mouse. their relationships with each other were so meaningful and were, for me, the driving force of the show. i can see how this could end at one season because you get closure for all of the stories, but would definitely love to see a second season to see the future of A in millwood, and to see how the girls cope with the ending events. all in all, aside from certain slow bits and stories, i loved it and it was a perfect spin-off from the original show!
