This story is delightful on so many levels... the strange attitude on the part of Ki Sub, the immaculate perfect type checklist Ji Seop keeps and how Ki Sub feels the need to meet that checklist - down to getting a tattoo - and the silliness that the pair have together as they fight against feelings (and try to figure out what their feelings even mean) make for a winner of a series. Throughout the entire process, where Ki Sub only says "YES!" to everything (including a multitude of overlapping relationships, jobs, and even international trips) without ever assessing why, his best friend is in an entirely separate mess: he's working a million part-time jobs trying to make ends meet. Why? Because he's broke, and that means he's nowhere near good enough to be in the graces of the man he left behind. A story of bravery, growing up and growing into yourself without the parental love you need, learning to say no, and learning what it actually means to love someone, Boys be Brave is a true gem that's worth watching and rewatching for the humor, heart, and self-compassion you'll see in every episode.
