I genuinely can't believe how horrible this finale was. The season itself was fun and it was nice to have Dexter back. Enough can't be said about how comforting it is to watch Michael C Hall talking to himself. I loved Dark Passenger Deb, I loved Mr. Krabs being a bad guy. I hated a lot of the Harrison school scenes--felt very modern high school drama (kinda how I imagine river dale to be). Angela was not a believable person to take Dexter down and ultimately ruined this whole series for me. Dumb. I liked Molly as a character but her podcast episodes took me out of it because they were such shit. Audrey was annoyingly "woke" but had a cop mom like there's no way she doesn't have ACAB in her twitter bio, right? That "trophy" room tho!!! Anyways, fuck the plot holes, fuck not getting Angel and Dexter to interact, fuck the ketamine retcon, fuck not referencing the previous show enough. I am fine with the result of Dexter dying but it would have been done with a little more pizzaz. The ending was super rushed and super messy. Would have loved to see the show go back down to Miami to get the band back together :(. Also would have loved to see Dexter gaslight a little better (he used to be so good at it). Not sure how he couldn't get himself out of this mess. I don't think I will ever not be angry at the ending of this show. The more I think about it the more I get mad.
