Back to it! Normal episode. This adoption storyline may lead to some good scenes to come. Kevin’s side plot seems to be picking up steam. While watching though, I was able to realize and gather another conclusive reason why I’m still on the fence about this show. The acting is great don get it twisted, yet the writers don’t leave any room for more subtle acting with the inclusion of relentless flashbacks. Whenever a character is confronted with a current event that parallels something of their past, the scenes show flashbacks to whatever event that they are reminiscing on. There would be no harm in this if it was sparse, but I personally think they over-do the flashbacks which leads no room for the show to achieve two things. 1. Let the actors convey emotions with facial expressions. 2. Let the audience try to piece together what’s going on inside the minds of the characters on their own.
