Very lackluster and predictable finale.. Them taking away the final memory task and replacing it with a... Puzzle. Was definitely a choice. It had some sweet moments. Shane telling Rod and Leticia "Go get them." Will forever be wholesome to me. Juan & Shane were such a lovable team all season and it's crazy how they were still able to get 2nd depsite going to Cherry Hill NJ.. That dude who told em it was Pat's Pizza outta be banned from Philly just sayin.. But besides that just a really weird finale. Felt like the actual Philly leg didn't get much time to air, so you knew Ricky & Ceaser were gonna be uncontested due to them finishing with like less than 10 mins left.
Also Amber.. Why. We just witnessed someone locking themselves into an extremely toxic environment for who knows how long.. Very awkward moment which kinda Kickstarted the sourness of what was to come
Ricky & Ceaser deserved the win no doubt. However, the design of both the locations and the tasks were absolutely horrendous.. A huge let down and to me that final task summed up that statement perfectly.. I understand it was the final Covid season, but your other Covid seasons had more creative tasks that required more than 5 mins of effort to complete.. I mean, the routes were so short that producers hadda lie about the starting times to try and make them look closer than they were.. One leg when u went clue by clue had each location within 2-5 mins of eachother.. Production was a mess and Angie & Danny's incident at Final 6 was the cherry on top..
After watching this, I hope they made improvements for Season 37.. I know the twists and fundamental elements are returning but we NEED better leg design.. Underwhelming season with a clearly obvious winner made for boring television..
The best part of this finale was Gritty twerking... The mascots were sm fun.
