rewatched to prep for s2 obviously. i grew up being absolutely terrified of hardcore horror stuff (still am tbh) but now i absolutely LOVE shows & movies like this that can manage to create such a campy atmosphere within all the bloodshed. that campiness did turn straight up corny every so often but it never soured any part of my viewing experience, especially when it came to seeing the main girls hang out and be friends (also TABOGEN ENDGAME!!!!). 4 stars for s1 👍🏾 episode ranking: 1. final girls 2. dead and buried 3. bad blood 4. the night he came home 5. the spirit queen 6. scars 7. aftermath 8. the fe(male) gaze 9. carnival of souls 10. spirit week
