Oh man.
It was certainly flawed, but it had so much potential to be a great genre show.
Instead of crying that it's over, I'm going to celebrate the great things about it that Netflix REALLY needs to take notes of for similar shows. Have a sense of character based humour. Have the family bonds and platonic relationships actually matter to the main characters development (looking at you Fate the Winx Saga). Have the romance be between two fully fleshed out characters, not one fully fleshed out character and someone who doesn't exist out side being a love interest (looking at you Nick Scratch). Make sure your leads have chemistry, not just be pretty. Not be colourist in your casting (honestly still surprised Cal was played by a dark-skin actress). Show step-parents having a loving relationship with their step-children. Have good costume design that looks like something teenagers would actually wear.
Please.
