6.3/10
This isn't a bad show. It's just wrongly titled. Like for instance, the MonsterVerse Godzilla tv show is titled "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters" because it is about the Monarch organization and the people around it. It wasn't titled "Godzilla: Legacy" or something, it wasn't misleading audiences, it was appropriately titled, because Godzilla was merely a cameo every 2 episodes in that show, and that is what Knuckles became after the first episode. Similarly, this would have been an incredible show if it was titled "Wade The Warrior".
Why didn't we get any fleshing out on the villains? Why didn't we get any fleshing out on the GUN organization? Why didn't we anything on Knuckles's past adventures instead of a goofy musical sequence portraying his battle with Iblis? Why didn't Knuckles even train Wade Whipple despite saying he would? Why did Chief Pachacamac tell Knuckles to specifically choose Wade Whipple? Why don't I remember who Wade Whipple even was before I looked him up on google and found out he was apparently in the first 2 movies?
This show was the wedding subplot from Sonic 2 except 10 times worse.
Well, positives, I think everything that had to do with Knuckles was very enjoyable, the humor can get a little too silly at times for my liking, but there were funny moments. The CGI and fights are pretty cool, specifically that kitchen table fight scene from episode 3.
