Watching the Villiers' ascension is exhilarating. However, Mary & George truly peaks when depicting the fall. Tony Curran gives one of my favorite performances of the year. He breathes new life into already beautifully written dialogue. Julianne Moore is a close second with her portrayal of the callous and calculating Mary. On the flip side, Nicholas Galitzine was perfectly cast for the first half of the series, but not the second. I would've preferred a grittier, more seasoned performance as the character aged. I can't get the score out of my head. Bravo, Oliver Coates; you've done it again!
