𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓫𝓮𝓼𝓽 𝓲𝓼 𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓻.” God I’ve missed this show, I love this pilot to death. Everyone’s characters are introduced amazingly especially Tony. His and Dr. Melfi’s scenes are always great and their dynamic is one of the best in the show. I love the tone of this episode and how it takes a lot of inspiration from other mafia projects such as ‘Goodfellas’ with the narration. The Ducks: To put it simply symbolism done perfectly. Tony fathers a family of ducks and one day they leave, giving Tony a heart attack. We see throughout the episode Tony’s family growing up with the episode being set on AJ’s birthday and Meadow rejecting her mothers invite to a traditional tea party. The duck’s symbolise Tony’s family as he feels like his family are growing up just like the ducks. Like Tony said the good times are finished and now he only has the good memories. I’ve been seeing too many sopranos edits lately I NEEDED this rewatch. Gonna enjoy this shit so much
