Good lord. I am at a loss for words. There are so many little details that make this episode stand out, the fact that Bojack's hubris that has been a staple of his character the whole way through the show is the thing that brought him down, despite how much he says he's changed. I think that ultimately the message this episode delivers is that whether or not we get better or we change, the old version of us that we don't love is still US. The things that the younger version of you did are still the same living, breathing being that you are now, whether we move on from it or not, our past is a part of us. This is the second time in the show that an episode I didn't love as much has been payed off significantly, the episode where Bojack and Sarah Lynn have sex was always so unflattering but when the interviewer mentioned it I suddenly felt so empty, it's all coming full circle. I really love that different facets of the industries people like Bojack are involved with are still facing nuanced criticism this late in, as shown with Biscuits Braxby. 

I also think this episode did a really great job of displaying the effect Bojack has on the lives of each of the other main characters, seeing as almost every scene that doesn't include him mentions him in some part, there's a lot of very subtle character progression all across the board here that was constantly excellent. Learning more about Guy's past dating habits, Mr. Peanut Butter and Pickles breaking up, finally seeing the dynamic of Todd's relationship in action (which is so cute btw I love them so much), but most of all what stood out to me was Princess Carolynn. All that we really see from her part are some facial expressions and one or two off-handed remarks, but they're so telling, showing her bitterness in the wake of supporting the man who wasted away such an important part of her life. 

Perhaps the greatest revelation across this episode however is that Bojack spent an entire 17 minutes doing nothing after Sarah Lynn's overdose, which completely re-frames the most definitive tragedy of the show and strips away all sympathy we could have for Bojack about that situation. I'm honestly struggling to fathom a little how they're gonna wrap everything up here, but I have faith that it'll end strong, and if so it's in my top 5.
