Anton Chekhov said that if a gun appears in a novel, it must be fired. It sounds like a platitude, but it is not at all. The Russian writer and playwright meant that one should never introduce objects, scenes or other elements in the course of a story if they are not necessary. The computer given to Marion is the perfect example and in fact in this episode it seems to be the undoing of Saul/Gene/Jimmy.
PS When Kim meets Jesse outside Saul's studio, we can really say that one character is coming out of a horrible life, while the other is about to enter it.
*If you read the divorce papers carefully, it says 2004, so four years before the first episode of Breaking Bad.
PPS It’s not all good man.
