The rating is kinda a hot take but even though it’s not a 5 star season (imo) it’s still an amazing season and top 15 for sure, trinity vs dexter is one of my favourite arcs in tv and trinity is easily one of my favourite tv antagonists. There’s only a few episodes below a 4.5 in my opinion and when this season peaks it peaks HIGH, born in blood is one of my favourite parallels and moments in tv definitely and as a character peak “connected by light” and born in blood are both some of my favourites. I won’t yap but yeah this season is definitely one of my favourites of all time for sure. I am sad that the prime is over but I am also excited for season 7 and New Blood tbh, they look pretty good imo. Alright I’ll wrap it up, peak season, dexters prime probably and some amazing performances from Micheal C Hall and John Lithgow seriously fuckin nailed his role. Top 3 Characters this season: 🥇Dexter Morgan 🥈Arthur Mitchell 🥉Debra/Rita? Idk the side cast is mid as heck Top 3 Episodes this season: 🥇The Getaway 🥈Lost Boys/Hungry Man 🥉Hungry Man/Lost boys There’s a lot of good episodes this season tho so a few could go in the #3 spot. Rating for this season: 9.4/10 best dexter season Might as well do a section on the “prime” as well, even though this isn’t the best written prime or anything (that would go to game of thrones) it’s easily the most enjoyable, this show consistently entertains me and keeps me engaged with the story all the time. The antagonists are all amazing imo, Brian and trinity are both in my top 10 tv antagonists of all time. The acting from the cast is also pretty great, nothing extraordinary outside of our main characters but the cast still manages to make me laugh and some of their storylines are actually good. I’ll wrap this up by saying, this is definitely my favourite tv prime, dexter as a protagonist just from these seasons alone is easily t5 oat imo and I could speak about his character and how good he is all day but I won’t 😭yeah idk what else to say, peak prime peak protagonist peak antagonists .
