This felt like it could've been an episode of Barry

Probably some of the most fun I've had watching TV for a while now. The B plot was weak but it was something that had to be addressed and it got concluded quickly enough to not mess with the main stuff.

I love the direction they went with Daredevil here, balls to the wall character development and it's all super grounded, emotional and just enjoyable. It's been obvious what would happen to his dad since the beginning but the full context to Matt's backstory still ended up being so tragic. "You've gotta think about what you'll be leaving for him when you're gone." and he left him with the knowledge embedded deep in him to keep fighting, getting to hear the crowd chant his dad's name.

His dynamic with Claire was fun and I like how natural it felt that she seems to be playing the role of "Daredevil's underground doctor". It's also really sick how the episode literally starts with Daredevil having had his shit utterly rocked, he's a great fighter and all but it's a fact that a blind man playing Batman will get hurt a lot of the time and it's cool they got that fact out there and also continue to show it during the action scenes. All of the action scenes have been incredible so far and it skyrocketed my enjoyment of an already amazing episode. Like I said last episode, they do a really good job of making very dark fight scenes easy to understand, and the choreography and camerawork here was top notch too.

All in all, a really strong follow-up, there's lots of good development for Matt, brilliant action, visuals and scoring that build a cool and edgy Dark Knight-esque atmosphere, all while having a really good sense of direction for fleshing out the series.
