The first two seasons of this show were near perfect, with every element executed almost flawlessly, while season 3 was a slightly worse I was still really good, with some great new characters such as Hamid Khan and Nikolai Stanislofsky and the whole boxing subplot was great. The first half of season 4 was the best stretch of episodes in all of TV, if season 4 ended after episode 8, it would have been the best in the show without a doubt. Season 5 was a bit of a let down but it was still really good which great characters such as Father Meehan, and season 6 was a huge disappointment with the finale really being such a let down.
