“Your Lie in April” is a beautiful story about a piano prodigy named Kousei who lost the ability to play following his mother’s passing. Two years following her death, Kousei meets a free-spirited violinist named Kaori who ardently guides him back into the world of music. I was pleasantly surprised by “Your Lie in April.” Each of the characters have a lot of charm and emotion to them. The score is fantastic, which is to be expected considering this is a music themed anime. The cinematography is gorgeous as well. There were multiple shots that I screenshotted because of how stunning they were. Be warned, the lovely music and beautiful shots are only the tip of the iceberg here. This anime will rip your heart out of your chest and chuck it into an industrial shredder.
